Eligibility
Employees who have rendered the 90-day waiting period and are serving at least 30 hours per week are eligible for the health benefits. Fresh or re-hired workers working at least 30 hours per week shall only be entitled to the health benefit after completing the 90-day waiting period. Enrollment for this benefit can start between the 2nd and 3rd month and shall take effect the first day after the 90-day waiting period.
- Employees serving more than 30 hours per week are eligible for all benefits EXCEPT the Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) package.
- The MEC is only applicable to employees serving 30 hours or more a week and is not covered by the Pennsylvania Welfare Benefit Fund.
